2017 Timbersled Snow Bike – Initial IMPRESSIONS Initial thoughts from the launch of Timbersled’s newest snow bike conversion kit.

Timbersled, makers of the snow bike conversion kit systems, is launching its new product this week in Northern Utah, and I’ve just had my initial opportunity to throw a leg more than a Husqvarna FC450 equipped with one particular of its kits. And that indicates, yes, I’m typing this update with a smile.

We’ll have a full initial ride review as quickly as I’m back in a slightly warmer, much sunnier Southern California and have shaken all of the snow off of my boots, but for now I can inform you that these snow bikes genuinely are as much entertaining as they look.

Yes, it is quite a bit different than riding a dirtbike or a snowmobile, and the steering takes a couple of minutes to get utilised to, but as soon as you get into the deeper snow and really start trusting the ski/track setup, you can do some really unbelievable items. See a hill you want to climb? I’ve got cash it will take you to the prime, regardless of how steep the trail gets or how tight. Or how inexperienced you are, as was the case with me on my very first run up the mountain this morning…

I’ve only had around 3 hours on the bike considering that and could possibly go for a few more—if not an extra week—but am already coming to grips with the handling, which I think speaks volumes to the bike’s user friendliness. I’ve dipped off into a meadow to run figure eights, reduce via the narrowest of tree-lined trails with no navigating my way to a cease against a tree stump, and even launched the bike off a couple of mounds of snow.

All round enjoyable element is through the roof, and I’ve only had much more exciting with each new thing I’ve convinced myself to try on it. I’m even debating if this is 1 of the most exciting items I’ve accomplished on a motorcycle. There’s just anything about being in a position to go essentially anywhere you please that takes every thing I love about motorcycling and the sense of freedom that comes with it, and multiplies it by ten.
