IRVINE, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2016) — Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (KMC) has announced that Yoshitaka “Yoshi” Tamura will succeed Masafumi “Masa” Nakagawa as president of the organization, effective April 1. Nakagawa has been with KMC’s parent organization for 39 years and will retire following lately reaching the company’s retirement age.
Mr. Tamura returns to KMC soon after serving in several roles for Kawasaki, which includes as Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe and most recently as Associate Officer, KD Workplace in the Advertising and marketing and Sales division of Kawasaki’s Motorcycle and Engine Organization, where he worked with Kawasaki subsidiaries around the globe. Mr. Tamura will lead KMC in celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary in North America, as effectively as spearheading the company’s move to its new headquarters later this year.
“Yoshi brings a wealth of encounter in the powersports market to his new position. I am confident he will continue to lead KMC to higher heights as it celebrates its golden anniversary,” said Nakagawa.
